A grand wedding in luxurious tones

A stunning backdrop, gorgeously arranged flowers and the most exquisite jewel tones made this wedding celebration truly unique and dipped in luxury.
Samantha and Erik live in New York, but they wished for their union to happen in Sweden, where Erik’s family lives. Officiating their marriage here meant seamlessly combining the Swedish touch with American traditions, so that everyone could be deeply immersed in the ambient.
The beautiful summer day allowed the mesmerising tones of blue, green and gold to shine bright. The lovely couple also took advantage of the light to take some really stunning photos at sunset.

Location

Uppsala’s castle is as grand of a wedding venue as one could get, and grand we wanted it to be! Surrounded by luscious greenery, it was the perfect place to gather their loved ones.

The Wedding Day

On this beautiful sunny day, the bride and groom met each other under a uniquely hand-crafted and three dimensional flower arch, their smiles dazzling on their faces.
Samantha - in her gorgeous Vera Wang gown - was given away to Erik by her mother, who was holding her tight as she walked. The groom’s best friend was chosen to officiate the celebration, which was a brilliant choice as he pulled on the guests’ heartstrings, as well as stealing happy laughs.

After reciting their vows, a horse-led carriage was waiting to take them from the botanical gardens to the majestic Castle. There, the festivities would continue for everyone.
Sipping on champagne and warming their skin under the Swedish sun, the guests made their ways through the lusciously green botanical gardens to the Castle.

Animated by an entertaining DJ, the couple celebrated until the bright lights of the morning shone again, surrounded by their loved ones, good music, and even better cake.

Styling and Decor

Glittering peacocks’ feathers served as our inspiration from Samantha and Erik’s wedding. Samantha even gifted her bridesmaids stunningly bejewelled handbags that resembled the proud animal.
The couple was keen on decorating with jewel tones, so the styling had to be done even more carefully as to not create a darker ambient, instead of a clean and luxurious one.

The beautiful flowers were truly an attraction for all, with the tall white arch decorating the steps of the botanical gardens, framing the couple perfectly. Touches of white, deep red and purple decorated the tables as well, contributing to a ethereal feeling.
